Ledger Looking Back 25 Years: 4/5/2000

A lawsuit has been filed against Lillian rodeo owners Boyd and Georgia McMillian for alleged personal injuries suffered after a rodeo bull owned by the McMillian and allegedly attacked a woman in front of her house.

Nicole Salvagni, a former Whitehall resident currently attending school at Arizona State University, won $12,000 in cash and prizes on The Price is Right and just missed winning a lot more.

WHS Creative Leader of the Week: Justin Lucas. Director Britta Oliverson says that Justin didn't miss one game for when the pep band played - in the regular season or for tournaments, and that he is always cheerful and willing to work hard. Justin, a senior, is the son of Ann and Chuck Lucas. He would like to become a diesel mechanic.

WHS Student of the Week: Travis Henningsen. Todd Breitenfeldt says, "Travis has consistently high academics, quality work on the weed Wed=b site (mtwow.org) and great class participation/leadership." He is the son of Bob and Elaine Henningsen and has plans to attend MSU Bozeman. Travis enjoys drama and making jokes.

WHS Athlete of the Week: Bill Battaiola. A senior on the WHS track team, Bill has had two first place finishes, in the shot put and the discus over the weekend at the Three Forks meet. He also has never missed a practice in his high school track career. Bill is the son of Mike and Patty Battaiola, and has plans to attend U of M for secondary education and to play football.
