Every Tuesday evening for six weeks, a group of about two dozen Whitehall area residents gather in the high school commons to jitterbug, two-step, and even do a little ten-count shuffle.
"You see couples who've been married for 20 years and realize they're almost flirting with each other. And they laugh because that's what they're doing. It's kind of neat."
WHS Creative Leader of the Week: Lance Briggs. He was nominated by drama director Larry Brazill. He is the son of Dean and Wendy Briggs and has plans to attend Rick's College after high school. Lance enjoys music, horses, drama, and basketball.
WHS Student of the Week: April Adams. Art teacher Mike Battaiola says, "April does quality work, is very polite, and she created a mural on her own time in the weight room. April is the daughter of Harriet Adams and has plans to attend a graphic arts school when she finishes high school.
WHS Athlete of the Week: Chris Dvorak. He has scored 19 points and had seven assists and seven rebounds against Three Forks and Townsend. Chris had his best game of the year against Three Forks, where he hit both Whitehall's three-point shots and shot 60% from the field against Towsend. Chris will be a key player as the Trojans prepare to face Jefferson High. He is the son of Lynn and Dianne Dvorak.
