Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana

A horse owned by Randy Martinson was "cut up" shortly before Christmas; Martinson and Whitehall veterinarian Dr. Bob Henningsen both think a mountain lion attacked the animal. Martinson, who lives about a mile south of Whitehall off Highway 55, said he believes the attack occurred sometime after 3:30 AM on December 21st.
The Whitehall Ledger did a Q&A with John Rice, a five-year Whitehall resident and Jefferson County Library Board member. He has championed the proposal to build an expansion to the John Gregory Memorial Library. Rice spoke on plans to address the Town Council in January about the final plans, d3elays in groundbreaking, and the need for extra room at the library.
Magic happened in a darkened theatre when Whitehall was treated to some special holiday magic by Boulder Valley resident and film actor/director Bill Pullman. Pullman presented the "Northwest states premiere" of his new made-for-television movie, The Virginian. The premiere was held at the Star Theatre on December 31st. The audience in attendance was only the second group of people to have had the opportunity to view the movie.
