Town of Whitehall water update:
To inform the public, another round of chlorination will start on Monday, November 25. 2024. The recent test shows coliform bacteria above DEQ required levels; please note that this is not E. coli.
This procedure is not abnormal in light of major construction on the water system in recent days; contaminants do get into the closed system.
Those sensitive to chlorine may want to drink bottled water until the system is clear.
