Ready for a Delicious Meal? Harvest Dinner This Friday at LDS

One meal that is always hard to beat this time of year is the Harvest Dinner. Held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (41 Mormon Lane), this year's feast will be held Friday, Nvoember 22nd and kick off at 5 PM.

Offered by donation, with suggested donations at $7 per person and $30 per family, the meal is a Thanksgiving Dinner with all the trimmings, including a variety of desserts. Non-perishable food donations are encouraged, with all proceeds going to the Whitehall Area Food Bank.

The origins of the dinner date to 1978 and it while a community event, it was also to help raise money for a new church building. Once money was raised, the dinner - which had become a favorite tradition in the community - continued with proceeds being donated to the food bank.
