Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana
This holiday season, communities across Montana are making it easy to shop local and get in the holiday spirit by hosting various Christmas festivals, craft fairs, and holiday markets.
From Bigfork’s annual Decorating Day to Havre’s Holiday Stroll, Montana’s hometown traditions help everyone celebrate the season and find local gifts for their friends and families.
The holiday season also provides an opportunity to support local businesses through the Made in Montana program, which assists Montana businesses in developing and marketing products throughout the year. Featuring everything from fine arts and crafts, foods, and agricultural and wood products to tools, machinery, software, and high-tech materials, the program is a hub for local makers. It includes Grown in Montana and Native Made in Montana products.
“Our local growers and artisans are producing incredible, one-of-a-kind products across so many different industries,” said Paul Green, Montana Department of Commerce director. “We encourage everyone to visit one or many of the incredible festivals during this special time of year to support the small businesses and families who add so much to our communities.”
In addition to seasonal markets, Montana’s new winter guidebook helps travelers plan a weekend getaway or extended trip, with stops at ski areas, hot springs, restaurants, unique accommodations, and local museums that will satisfy families, friends, couples, and solo travelers.
