Fencing Offered as a Club at Whitehall Schools

The Whitehall 21st Century Program is thrilled to announce the launch of a new fencing club for middle school and high school students. This exciting opportunity will allow students to learn and practice the art of fencing, a sport that combines physical agility, strategic thinking, and discipline.

The club will hold its first meeting on Thursday, November 14th, and will continue to meet every Thursday from 4:15 PM to 6:00 PM. All sessions will take place in the multi-purpose room at Whitehall High School. This club is open to all students in the district who are interested in exploring this dynamic and engaging sport.

Fencing is a fantastic way for students to develop a range of skills, including coordination, balance, and quick decision-making. It also promotes physical fitness and provides a unique way to engage in friendly competition. Whether students are looking to try something new or to hone their existing skills, the Whitehall Fencing Club offers a welcoming environment for all levels of experience.

The club will be led by experienced instructors who are passionate about the sport and dedicated to helping students grow and succeed. They will provide comprehensive training in the fundamentals of fencing, including footwork, blade work, and the rules of the sport. Safety is a top priority, and all necessary equipment will be provided to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Students interested in joining the fencing club are encouraged to attend the first meeting on November 14th. This initial session will include an introduction to the sport, a demonstration of basic techniques, and an overview of what participants can expect in the coming weeks. It will also be a great opportunity to meet the instructors and fellow club members.

Don't miss out on this exciting new opportunity to be part of the Whitehall Fencing Club. Come join us and discover the thrill of fencing! For more information, please contact Kristen Wirth at Kwirth@whitehallmt.org.
