Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana

Karen Lee Sacry, 63

Karen Lee Sacry was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She left this world after a long battle with posterior cortical atrophy on September 27, 2024, at age 63.

She was born to James and Nancy Graham on February 18, 1961, in Long Beach, California. She moved to Montana in 1971. She met the love of her life, Kerry Sacry, in high school. After graduating from high school, she went to beauty school. They moved to Iowa for Kerry to finish college and had their twin girls. They moved to Kansas City following Kerry's graduation and had their son. In 1995, they moved back to Whitehall, Montana, and bought the Star Theatre. Karen finished her teaching degree. She taught eighth grade and then opened a preschool. Karen loved spending time with children at her preschool, caring for her many nieces and nephews and eventually her grandchildren. She also loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family and the community.

She is preceded in death by her parents Nancy Lee and James Graham. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Kerry Sacry; her three children Keely (Bryan) Hoban, Krista (Zach) Mattson, Keegan (Nadya) Sacry; her siblings Karl Graham, Kate Graham, Keith Graham, and Kolette Flood; her grandchildren Elsie, Brooklyn, Maisy, and Hudson; and many nieces and nephews.

All are welcome to her memorial service on November 30, 2024, at 11 AM at the Community of Christ Church, 88 First Rd E, Whitehall, Montana.
