Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana
The Whitehall Garden Club (WGC) held another successful and delicious Pie-By-The-Slice and Pie Auction, with pies brought in by community members at this year's annual Fall Festival. Participants chose which non-profit would receive the proceeds from the silent auction of their pie. Non-profits included 4 Paws Animal Rescue, Gold Junction Presents, PULSE Ambulance, and more. Some were even dedicated to the WGC itself!
The variety was deliciously amazing, and 25 beautiful pies were up for silent auction! The WGC also sold pies by the slice, and most pie-eaters agonized over choosing from chocolate mint, peanut butter, several different berry pies, lemon, cherry, rhubarb-strawberry, pecan, and pumpkin - most classical, but a few had an added splash of bourbon to "enhance the flavor!"
About 100 pieces of pie and coffee were served (and we won't tell who came back for seconds!)
Thank you to Gold Junction Presents for organizing the Fall Festival, Karen Ranta and the WGC for the beautiful set-up, and Dana Brunet and Liz Pullman for moving tables and chairs. A big thank you to all who participated, either by baking, eating, or buying! It was a DELICIOUS event and a great way to celebrate Fall!
