Whitehall Country Store Asks For Your Help

The Whitehall Country Store needs your help keeping its doors open and its volunteers happy. Not because they are in a financial bind - they are being inundated with items they cannot sell! While someone’s trash is always another person’s treasure - there are rules to abide by when donating to the Whitehall Country Store.

Recently, the Country Store has become a dumping ground, taking up the valuable time of the store’s volunteers when they must haul junk items to the dump instead of setting good items out for purchase.

If you wouldn’t buy it for yourself at a second-hand store, please don’t donate it! If the dump won’t take it, please don’t bring it to the Country Store!

When donating to the Whitehall Country Store, please follow these guidelines:

• Please try to donate on Wednesday, Friday, or Saturday from 11 AM to 4 PM when volunteers are onsite.

• Clean and gently used clothing only - no stains, rips, pet hair, or weird odors.

• Small WORKING appliances only! No washers, dryers, refrigerators, or dishwashers.

• The store no longer accept boxsprings, bedframes or mattresses. Please DO NOT dump them!

• The store no longer accepts couches, entertainment centers, or large furniture. The garage space is limited, and there is no room for large items.

• Do not leave items in any place other than the front of the building. Put them on the tables or in front of the garage door.

Thank you for your donations and for being mindful of our limits. The limited volunteer staff cannot man the store seven days a week. The store would love to have more volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, please let them know!
