The Whitehall Country Store Board of Directors is pleased to announce recipients of $5,000 scholarships awarded to graduating Whitehall High School seniors. The applicants' essays focusing on their life goals and desire for a higher education were used to select the recipients. Ashlyn Alley, Lindsay Briggs, Cecilia Madden, Charity Nieskens, Isaac Skogen, and Reilly Slater will each receive the scholarships to offset costs for the upcoming fall and winter semesters.
The scholarships are made possible due to the generosity of the Whitehall residents who continue to donate their goods and shop at the Whitehall County Store. These scholarships and other grants are given by the Board of Directors but provided on behalf of all who are a part of the legacy and ongoing viability of the Store.
