Introducing Cardwell Candidates for Whitehall School Board: Questa Edwards

Questa Edwards graduated from Manhattan High School in 1991, then graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana. She then earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri.

Questa joined the United States Army Reserves as a direct commission in 1999. She is currently a lieutenant colonel with 24 years of service in the Army reserves; she has served many roles in the Army with specific training in leadership and teamwork.

Questa graduated from the Army Medical Department (AMEDD) Officer Basic Course, AMEDD Officer Advanced Course, Combined Arms Course, and Intermediate Level Education. She has also earned the 7H (Upper Extremity Specialist) Additional Skill Identifier.

Questa has resided in Cardwell, Montana, since 2009 with her husband Bryon and 13-year-old son Tommy. She works as an occupational therapist on independent contracts and PRN work, providing adult and pediatric rehabilitation services in local schools, hospitals, and private outpatient clinics. In her free time, she enjoys hobby farming, animal rescue, and following her son's hockey, football, and baseball games.

"As a candidate for the school board, my goal is to ensure a positive environment for both children and teachers, ensuring safety and transparency in the educational teams of the parent, student, and teacher," Questa said. I believe in and appreciate the Montana values I grew up with in small-town Manhattan. I also appreciate the positive current environment the Whitehall school has and want to ensure the continuation of this with a strategic vision to preserve our quality education in a safe and positive environment."

Ballots for the Whitehall School Board's open seat for the Cardwell district will be sent out by the end of April. Stay tuned for information on Questa's opponent, Robin Becker, in next week's paper.
