2024 We Are HER Survivor Retreat Accepting Applications

We Are HER, a Whitehall-Cardwell-based non-profit, is excited to announce the 2024 Survivors Retreat. The We Are HER Survivors Retreat is a five-day healing and educational experience in the mountains of Montana for ten survivors. The retreat's goal is to empower survivors through education about trauma recovery and connection with other survivors of abuse, assault, or stalking. This year's retreat will be held June 17-21, 2024. Applications to attend are now being accepted.

The retreat is for adult survivors of any gender identity. Participants must be at a place in their healing journey where they are comfortable learning about trauma and participating in workshops with other survivors. This retreat is not for survivors in an acute crisis stage or for survivors who are not ready to begin healing in a group setting.

"I felt so incredibly safe and supported, and the retreat allowed me to learn, grow, and move forward, knowing that while healing isn't linear, it is possible," said Elizabeth, a 2022 Retreat Participant.

Time will be built into each day for trauma recovery education workshops, movement, intentional connection, and free time.

A limited number of spots are available for this retreat, and We Are HER can only accept ten survivors. The HER Retreat Planning Committee will review applications and get back to survivors by late April or early May 2024.

Once survivors are chosen to attend, organizers will be in touch with the next steps.

A waitlist will be available for applicants not initially selected to attend the retreat.

Applicants can apply for financial assistance on the retreat application to cover their travel (all other associated costs are covered by We Are HER). After you apply, a HER Retreat Planning Committee member will contact you with more information.
