Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana
In the early morning of January 21, 2024, our beloved Ronald "Ron" Hain passed away at his home.
Ron was 88 years old, born in 1935 in Lisbon, North Dakota during the Depression. He was the fourth child of Winnifred and Lawrence Hain. Their family made the trek to Whitehall, Montana, searching for a job. Although Ron lost his father at an early age, the family continued in Whitehall and thrived.
After high school graduation, Ron joined the Army and was stationed at Presidio in San Francisco, CA for two years. This is when he met the love of his life, Alice. They came to Montana to start their new life, employed by Mountain Bell Phone Company, as a Combination/Line Man. After numerous moves, they settled in Anaconda in 1967 with their children Michael, Jim, and Shelley.
Ron loved the great outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking, snowmobiling, and four-wheeling. Ron was a volunteer firefighter for the West Valley, Snowmobile Club Member, and he loved to work on cars. He kept his first car, a 1956 Ford, in mint condition and won many ribbons in the parades.
Ron was the greatest husband, father, and friend. He was humble and giving and always willing to help.
Ron's family invites you to join them in a Celebration of Life, organized privately by the family, on February 10, 2024, from 10 AM to 4 PM at the family home at 221 Mountain View Drive South, Anaconda, Montana.
