Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana

Between the Stacks: 1/31/2024

I would like to thank the Library Staff and the Friends of the Library for the lovely flowers they sent after my mother's passing. Thank you also to the many patrons for all the touching cards and well wishes. They meant a great deal during this difficult time.

On a brighter note, the Library is starting several new programs including a Mommy & Me musical program on Mondays at 10 AM. Dads are also invited for this fun time of music and movement. This will run during February except for President's Day when the Library will be closed.

The Silent Reading Club begins Tuesday, February 6th, from 4 PM to 7 PM. Readers may come and enjoy snacks as well as a time of silent reading with others. This is a new program springing up in libraries all over the country to allow those who would like to be around others but have no wish for a lot of conversation.

The Library is part of the Cupid Crew, a program sponsored by AARP to bring flowers to those who have no one to celebrate Valentine's Day with. If you know of a senior who would love to receive a rose on Valentine's Day, please call the Library with their name and address. We will be delivering flowers on the 14th.

STEM Camp meets this week on Thursday, February 1st, at 2 PM. Everyone is invited to come and learn science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through hands-on experiments and discovery. Parents are welcome to come and learn along with their young ones. Their latest endeavor is volcano making.

Just an early reminder that the Library will be closed on February 19th for President's Day. We will be open the rest of the week for regular hours.
