Dear Editor: Info from County Treasurer

Dear Editor,

I received the following response about additional property tax. I asked Jefferson County Treasurer Terri Kunz if we be receiving a second request for additional property Tax. Her reply is below, which your readers might be interested in:

"The details have not been worked out. At this moment we will be rebilling the 2nd half tax statements to include the additional tax.

"If you paid in full then it will be a supplemental bill for the difference. If you pay by a mortgage company they will handle it. If you paid the first half, then you will see an increase in the second half.

"Please be aware the County is still working to resolve this issue., Thanks for asking."
