Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana
Happy New Year’s Day to everyone. The Library will be closed on January 1st but open the rest of the week for regular hours. The book drop is open any time the Library isn’t so feel free to drop things in if you are finished with them or they need to be returned. We will also be closed on Monday, January 15th, for Martin Luther King Jr. Day and open regular hours the rest of the week.
If you have older children who would like to sign up for the children’s quilt class on Friday afternoons, please call and let us know at 287-3763. We have limited the class size so that students will be able to have individual assistance as needed. The first class will be held on January 12th at 1 PM.
January 2nd is the day to pick up Book Bingo cards at the front desk. The program is open to anyone 0-120 years of age. Parents may read to younger children as well as books for themselves, so everyone is eligible for prizes. The Book Bingo cards must be turned in by April 30 but may be turned in as readers finish a Bingo for a prize. Cards that complete blackout, filling in every square, will be eligible to be entered in a grand prize drawing.
Miss Brandi is ready to start the new year with adventures in STEM Camp and an international trip around the world for our Homeschool Roundup students. Both programs are open to homeschool students, school-at-home students, and preschool siblings. Thursdays at 2 PM is the time for both sessions, which alternate every week. January will start with STEM Camp on the 4th and Homeschool Roundup on the 11th.
The Friends will be meeting on January 11th also at 5 PM. The patrons of the Whitehall Community Library were very generous to the Friends over Christmas and staff is planning a trip to the bookstore. Thank you to everyone who remembered us this season.
For those of you who are new to Whitehall, the Library hours are as follows: Mondays & Wednesdays 9 AM to 7 PM; Tuesdays and Thursdays 11 AM to 7 PM; Fridays 9 AM to 5 PM; and Saturdays 9 AM to 1 PM.
