Don't Miss the MANY Events Happening This Week in Whitehall!

Christmas Festival week is here! We have many activities happening this week, something for everyone!

DECEMBER 1-9

• BUSINESS BINGO: Pick up your Business Bingo card at the Whitehall Chamber office/kiosk the week before the Christmas Festival and visit all the wonderful businesses on the card for a stamp. Turn in your completed card at the Whitehall Community Center by 5 PM on Saturday, December 9th at the community center to win the annual Business Bingo competition!

WEDNESDAY, 12/6

• KRAMPUS CHRISTMAS PARTY: The Whitehall Ledger will celebrate the kickoff to the holiday season on Wednesday, December 6th with a Krampus Christmas. All ages are invited to attend - there will be food, drink, and a free movie - Krampus - at the Star Theatre at 6 PM. Bring a white elephant gift (even better if it is Krampus-related) and some cookies to exchange at the cookie exchange (2 dozen recommended). Wear your favorite Christmas jammies - come comfortable and ready for fun!

THURSDAY, 12/7

• JVSAR BINGO: The Whitehall Chamber, and organizer Raven Hysenko, invite you to a BINGO night benefiting Jefferson Valley Search & Rescue on Thursday, December 7th at 6:30 PM at the Whitehall Community Center.

• PTSA MOVIE NIGHT: The Whitehall PTSA will hold its annual movie and soup night on Thursday, December 7th at 5:30 PM at the Star Theatre. Come enjoy a variety of soups, cookies, ornament making, Christmas card decorating, and Home Alone 2!

FRIDAY, 12/8

• PARADE OF LIGHTS: Meet at the Fish Pond on Friday, December 8th at 6 PM and become a part of the Parade of Lights as we tour the town spreading joy and cheer! Decorate your vehicle and you can win prizes from our esteemed judges!

The parade will line up in the Legion Park area (off the street) BEHIND the Fire Truck. Prizes will be awarded for Best Costume (both adults and kids), Best Business Vehicle, Best Decorated Vehicle, and various spot awards. Decorate those cars, tractors, ATVs, whatever you want to drive! Remember, the parade takes a while; plan your bathroom stops accordingly! For those of you at home, tune into the local radio channel for updates on where the parade is so you can flash your house lights as we drive by!

SATURDAY, 12/9

• FESTIVAL VENDORS & KIDS ACTIVITIES: The Whitehall Community Center and the Western Legacy Center will be aflutter with Christmas celebration on Saturday, December 9th from 10 AM to 5 PM. Vendors from across the state will help you find the perfect presents for your loved ones. Kids activities will also be held in the community center.

• WREATH AUCTION: Vote on your favorite wreath, benefiting a local non-profit, at the community center on Saturday, December 9th, then head over to Mint at 7 PM to bid and support our local organizations. This event is brought to you by the Whitehall Saddle Club.

• CHRISTMAS AT THE LIBRARY: Santa will be live at the Whitehall Library, where there will also be cookies, carolers, and the winter gear giveaway. Knitwear is as cute as they come, be sure to drop by if you know a little person in need of a cute hat, mittens, and other gear.

DECEMBER 1-22

• DECORATING CONTEST: The annual business and home decorating contest, sponsored by NW Energy, will be taking nominations from December 1st to December 22nd, with judging held the evening of the 22nd. Nominate yourself, your neighbor, or your favorite business to be recognized for their Christmas cheer.

• ELFIE SELFIE: The Chamber's annual hunt for the elusive elves will begin in December! Visit the Chamber's Facebook page for clues to where the elves are hiding in local businesses, snap a selfie with them, then send to the Chamber and you could win!
