Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana
At the November Town Council Meeting, held Monday, November 20th at the Whitehall Town Hall, the holidays were pending, NFL football was pressing, and the Town Council plowed through their agenda in less than an hour.
Mayor Mary Janacaro-Hensleigh updated the Council on the Legion Avenue playground, noting that the Town is awaiting mulch before it can be opened. The Mayor also warned anyone with “nefarious” intentions of defacing the property that she has no problem closing the playground down and giving it to another town if the property can’t be respected.
Public Works Director Kory Klapan stated that employees were working to install a new water main to the new in-construction Ridgeline Sports location and Stageline Pizza on Legion Avenue.
The Council voted to terminate all negotiations with the Whitehall Saddle Club in regard to the Whitehall Rodeo Grounds, adding that any abandoned items will become town property.
