Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana
As we all know, the owner of the Whitehall Ledger loves everything scary. She also loves Christmas. What a perfect time to introduce Krampus to the community! While the Christmas season is a time of festivity and joy, Krampusnacht is a darker tradition that originated in Germany as a counterpart to the feast dedicated to St Nicholas, the patron saint of children who inspired the tradition of Santa Claus. Krampus brings "gifts" to the naughty children - and sometimes takes them with him.
Join us for a holiday party of a whole other kind - lots of food, drink, and cheer - at the Star Theatre on Wednesday, December 6th (which happens to be the day after Krampusnacht!) and watch KRAMPUS for free while enjoying everyone's company!
Bring a white elephant gift (even better if it is Krampus-related) and some cookies to exchange at the cookie exchange (2 dozen recommended). Everyone invited! Wear your favorite Christmas jammies - come comfortable and ready to eat!
For anyone concerned about the theme of this party - I promise you KRAMPUS is not that bad and the movie is actually very good and not very scary. I just like bringing creepy things into the holidays because I don't think Halloween gets enough play in our world today!
