Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana

Gianforte Visits Ridgeline and Pipestone Village & Hotsprings on Annual 56 County Tour

On the road Wednesday, October 18, 2023, for his third annual 56 County Tour, Governor Greg Gianforte visited family-owned small businesses before meeting with first responders in southwest Montana.

"Nothing compares to the work ethic of Montanans, whether they're small business owners, welders, ranchers, firefighters, or law enforcement officers keeping our communities safe," Gov. Gianforte said. "I share their priorities of greater opportunity, good-paying jobs, tax relief, the best education possible, affordable, high-quality health care, safe communities, attainable housing, stronger families, and responsive, effective government. We'll continue to deliver for them."

In Deer Lodge County, the governor toured Intercontinental Truck Body (ITB), which manufactures industrial and military machinery. The family-owned business also offers paid, on-the-job training to students in welding and painting.

"It's great to see ITB upskilling young Montanans and building its own workforce talent pipeline here in Anaconda," Gov. Gianforte said.

Spotlighting Montana's outdoor recreation industry in Jefferson County, the governor met with the owners of Ridgeline Rentals & Adventures and Pipestone Village and Hotsprings, which partner to offer ATV/UTV rentals and accommodations to guests for access to over 100 miles of trails year-round.

"The hardworking folks in our outdoor recreation industry support over 27,000 jobs and generate over $2 billion for our state each year. It was great to meet with some of them today," Gov. Gianforte added.

Then, in the afternoon, the governor visited the Valley District Fire Station in Drummond, where he met with volunteer firefighters.

"Volunteer firefighters are often the first on the scene to respond to wildfires or other emergencies, protecting lives and property," Gov. Gianforte said, after touring the new fire station. "The work they do couldn't be more important."

While at the station, the governor met with students from Drummond who recently completed fire safety training.

Finally, in Deer Lodge, the governor joined Powell County Sheriff Gavin Roselles, as well as deputies and staff, for lunch.
