Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana
The Museum of the Rockies at Montana State University will present its fourth annual “Haunted Mountain Theater” this month, transporting viewers into the history and folklore of the northern Rocky Mountains through a theater production enhanced by the Taylor Planetarium’s advanced technology.
This year’s show features a train crash, ghosts, and the legend of a mysterious lake monster, all narrated by an enigmatic cowboy who has his own story to share.
The 360-degree Taylor Planetarium serves as the portal to these stories. After the show, viewers are invited to explore the museum’s historic Tinsley House by lantern light, where they will encounter spirits, listen to chilling campfire tales, and enjoy a seasonal treat.
Eighteen shows are scheduled for Oct. 20-22, Oct. 27-29, and on Halloween, Oct. 31. Tickets are $23 for adults and $13 for children ages 10 to 17. Due to the mature content and the dark conditions in the planetarium, the show is recommended for ages 10 and above.
Tickets are available at museumoftherockies.org.
