Kathryn Louise Ball, 78

Kathryn "Kathy" Louise (Green) Ball passed away on September 20, 2023, at Ruby Valley Hospital in Sheridan, Montana.

Kathy was born on March 26, 1945. She grew up on a small family ranch on the Wisconsin Creek. She attended school in Sheridan and graduated in 1963. On November 1, 1968, she married Clarence Ball and their family became a "yours, mine, and ours."

Kathy worked as a ranch hand on several local ranches including Jenkins, Bayers, Seidensticker, and Mehlhoff. Then in later years, she worked at the Williams Feed store in Sheridan. Kathy was a member/leader and actively involved in all aspects of 4-H for 42 years. She was also a member of the Madison County Saddle Tramps and Omoksee Club. Some of Kathy's fondest memories are of the 4-H members and families, and the many lifelong friendships that developed throughout the years. One of her proudest memories came in 1999. The Friends Show and Sales Arena was built with donations from businesses, individuals, and families for the 4-H and FFA members.

Kathy is survived by her daughter Betty Ball, sons John Ball and Robert Ball, grandchildren Nathan Paty, John Ball Junior, Bianca O'Sheaf, Cassie Brown, Tara Beskoon, sister Tena Knobeloch, nephew Jarod Knobeloch, and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Maxine Duncan and Bud Green, husband Clarence Ball, and son Howard Ball.

In remembrance of Kathy, the family invites you to join them for a Story Telling Potluck on October 14, 2023, at 1 PM in the square building at the Madison County Fair Grounds in Twin Bridges, Montana.
