TIF Board Votes to Pay For Remainder of Playground Installation

At the August meeting of the TIF Board, the Town of Whitehall requested a total of $34,000 to complete the installation of the new playground located on Legion Avenue.

Public Works Kory Klapan stated that the money would be used for the installation by a certified installer, as well as lights around the playground. Klapan said the bid for installation was most likely the lowest bid they would receive.

While board member Jenna McNew voiced her desire to search for other funding sources, the board voted to recommend funding the remainder of the playground ($34,000) to the Town Council. The playground should be complete by the end of the month.
