At the August Chamber meeting, after a quick recap of the successful 2023 Frontier Days, the Whitehall Chamber of Commerce moved right in to their plans for its annual Fall Festival event and the revamped Black Tie Blue Jeans. Both events, just a little more than a month away, will be held at the end of September, celebrating the beginning of fall.
Black Tie Blue Jeans - Business & Volunteer Recognition: September 21, 2023. Moved from May to September to allow for a bit of an event revamp, Black Tie Blue Jeans will be held Thursday, September 21 at the Whitehall Community Center. This event will feature hors d'oeuvres, live entertainment, and several auction items; while the main feature of the evening will be Whitehall business and volunteer recognition awards. "The Chamber Board wanted to move away from a full-blown auction fundraiser and lean into publicly appreciating our local businesses and volunteers who make Whitehall what it is," said Chamber President Elizabeth Pullman. "We also wanted to revamp the event to make it more affordable for those who previously couldn't afford to attend."
Have a business or volunteer you would like recognized? Contact the Chamber at 406-287-2260 to nominate them for an award. Further information on BTBJ: Business & Volunteer Recognition will be available in the upcoming weeks - stay tuned!
FALL FESTIVAL: September 23, 2023. This year's Fall Festival has been moved into September to allow the Festival access to the entire Whitehall Community Center. A plethora of activities are planned, including vendors, a pie-by-the-slice and pie auction by the Whitehall Garden Club, a business scarecrow decorating contest, a pumpkin patch, and much more!
On the Main Street Green, Gold Junction Present will hold its annual Fall Festival Carnival with fun activities from local organizations, as well as a costume swap in preparation for Halloween! The Carnival is a great way to raise funds for your organization while having a fun time! If you are interested in having a Carnival game on the Green or costumes you would like to donate to the swap, please reach out to Liz Pullman at 406-498-3807. Costumes and accessories may be dropped off at the Whitehall Chamber office (501 N Whitehall) or the Whitehall Ledger office (405 W Legion).
