Veteran's College Scholarship Now Open

Whitehall American Legion Post 24 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4603 have opened the Dennis Smith Essay Competition. The competition offers a $1,000 college scholarship to a graduating senior; the deadline to apply is May 22, 2023.

Applicants are asked to discuss What is a Veteran? Why do men and women serve in the US Armed Forces? What is the future role of America in changing world events? What part of this role will the military play?
