I Am Learning To Heal: An Introduction To Breathwork will be presented at Sage Wellness Center by Bethel Wagner on Friday, April 28. Join We Are HER - Whitehall/Cardwell-based non-profit helping survivors of domestic and sexual assault become Healed, Empowered, and Restored - and Wagner of Sage Wellness Center for this gentle introduction to trauma-informed breathwork. Trauma-informed breathwork is a healing tool that focuses on empowering people to feel, process, and release emotions and trauma in a safe, healthy way. It helps people to discover what safety in the body feels like and teaches them how to tap into that safety at any time

Wagner is a Trauma-Informed Breathwork Facilitator. She studied under Denis Ouellette of Integral Breathwork and then pursued further training through Pause Breathwork. Bethel teaches and facilitates breathwork both one-on-one and in group settings. She believes that regular breathwork is an integral part of transforming and healing the body, mind, and spirit.

What to bring:

• Wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement and relaxed breathing.

• Bring a water bottle, blanket, journal & pen, and anything that will help you feel comfortable.

What to expect:

• A discussion on how to create a safe space in the environment and in the body where healing can take place.

• Simple exercises to learn how specific breathing patterns affect us physically, mentally, and emotionally.

• A short breathwork session to promote deep relaxation and a connection to the healing power of the breath.

A We Are HER information lounge will be held at the Whitehall Ledger on Thursday, May 4th from 5-7 PM. Come learn more about this local non-profit assisting survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault to become Healed, Empowered, and Restored.

This lounge is a kick-off event for Give Big, We Are HER's largest fundraiser. We Are HER is hoping to raise $10,000 - enough to fully cover all the expenses for We Are HER's 2023 Survivor Retreat in August.
