Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana

Garden Club May Meeting Featuring Xeriscaping

The Whitehall Garden Club will be holding its next meeting on Wednesday, May 3 in the Borden's Conference room and are excited to host guest speakers Kaleena Miller (MSU Extension Office) and Abi Saeed, MSU Horticulturist Specialist. This event on XERISCAPING will begin at 11 AM, see the information below. Hope to see you there!

Xeriscaping and Water-Wise Landscaping: Limited water supplies, which are often compounded by drought conditions, can reduce the availability of water for irrigating home gardens. This makes conserving water, including in our home landscapes, an important part of gardening in Montana and the rest of the semi-arid West. Join us as we learn about landscaping strategies that you can incorporate to reduce your irrigation needs and maximize the benefits of a sustainable and water-wise home garden landscape (including design strategies and plant selection) that's better for the environment and your wallet! Abi Saeed, MSU Extension Horticulture Associate Specialist will be our guest speaker.

Can't make the workshop, but want to learn more about Xeriscaping? Read Abi's article in MSU Extension's Lives and Landscapes publication here:
