The Rescue Tour Praise & Worship Sunday, April 23

On Sunday, April 23 at 8:30 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church, Dave Anderson and Roger Walck will present The Rescue Tour. All are welcome to this event full of praise and worship; refreshments and a free-will offering will be available to benefit Shepherd's Canyon Retreat.

Dave and Barb Anderson, have presented thousands of worship concerts throughout America and around the world since 1975. In 2007 Dave called together some lay leaders, counseling professionals, and clergy and, together, they began to lay plans for what today is called Shepherd's Canyon Retreat, to provide counseling retreats for burned-out and emotionally wounded church workers and their spouses. Since the first retreat in March 2009, Shepherd's Canyon Retreats have served the needs of over 600 clients from America, Canada, Kenya, and Uganda.

Shepherd's Canyon Retreat Ministry offers week-long counseling retreats for men and women in ministry who are in the midst of various stages of burnout, stress, depression, and conflicts of all kinds. Each retreat can accommodate up to eight individuals. The staff for each retreat includes two counselors, a chaplain, and volunteers who provide outstanding hospitality.

People come to Shepherd's Canyon Retreat with complaints of overwhelming personal, marital, and congregational conflicts, ministry burnout, depression, marital discord, infidelity, and struggles with addictive behavior. As is common for us all, when we are in physical or emotional pain, we attempt to remove ourselves from it as quickly as possible.

At Shepherd's Canyon Retreat, while we strive to help people alleviate their suffering, we also strongly encourage them to both describe their agony and, even more importantly, to learn from it.
