Settings Closing After Years Providing Gifts For All

After five years in business, Settings by All Things Montana - Whitehall's premier gift shop - is closing its doors.

"This was an incredibly hard decision. I've cried about it, I've thought long and hard about it, but in the end - this is what is best for me," said owner Pamela Polachi. "I'm looking forward to a new adventure."

Polachi, who was raised in Whitehall before returning to the area five years ago from the east coast, is confident in her decision, though she believes saying "goodbye" to her customers is going to be the most difficult thing.

"Before I made the announcement, I had customers coming in, telling me they were so happy I was here to get gifts from," she said. "So that really made me think "am I doing the right thing?" But I am. This is right for the time.

While Settings will be closing its doors within the next two months, Polachi's smiling face isn't going too far - just down the road to the Western Legacy Center.

"I'm still going to be a part of the community, maybe even get involved in bigger ways. I think I'll be happy to put my attention there," she said, adding with a laugh that she wants to get outside more than anything. "I want to go camping, I want to go rockhounding, I want to be out in nature."

The Healing Spot's future, recently opened in the backroom of Settings by Heidi Lynn, is still unknown. Polachi, however, knows that the stars will align and everything will work itself out. Her space is currently available through Brad Alexander.

"I just want to be in control of my future all again, I don't want to work seven days a week and not enjoy the outdoors and the things I miss," Polachi said. "I really want to say thank you to my community and my friends."

Keep an eye out for rotating sale specials from now until closing - Settings has always been the place to find that perfect something for everyone.

Settings is located at 11 North Division Street and may be reached at 406-304-4863.
