William (Bill) Russell Beam, 87

William (Bill) Russell Beam joined his daughters in heaven, on Tuesday, February 23, 2023. Bill was born in Willow Creek, Montana, on April 25, 1935, to Sara "Daisy" and Raymond Beam, the eighth of eight children.

He started school in Cardwell and graduated from Bozeman high school. He was a cowboy when he married Darlene Olive McLaughlin on June 6, 1954. Bill soon joined the Elevator Constructors Union and proudly worked for Otis for thirty years. He retired at Mammoth Montana and then worked as the only elevator inspector in Montana for seven years before retiring to the Mountain.

He could build or fix anything and was much loved by his neighbors and family as he helped everyone.

He was preceded in death by his daughters Susan Carol Johnson and Kathy Darlene Beam, his brothers John Beam and James Beam, and his sisters Josephine Jewett, Edith Larsen, Evelyn Duncan, and Alice Barnett.

Bill is survived by his wife of nearly sixty-nine years Darlene, his son-in-law, Mike Johnson as well as his sister Rose Wood and many nieces and nephews.
