David Uno Soderberg, age 88, of Whitehall, Montana left his earthly home Sunday, February 26, 2023, and entered his heavenly eternal home.
David was born in Seattle, Washington on September 14, 1934, to Uno and Frances Soderberg.
David attended school in Stanwood, Washington, and graduated from Twin City High school in 1952. He later attended Seattle Pacific University where he met Darlene Martin. They were married and blessed with three daughters: Debbi, Denise, and Deanne. (Please note all the D's) David served in the Air Force Reserves from 1957 to 1963. After his discharge from the reserves, David attended North Seattle Community College where he received a degree in Electrical Power Generation and Control.
After Darlene's death in 1976, David continued to raise his family and met the second love of his life, Verna, and they married in 1982.
David enjoyed many outdoor activities, including; mountain climbing, coaching Women's fastpitch softball, hydroplane racing, stock car racing, mini sprint racing, hunting, fishing, downhill skiing, snowmobiling, and riding 4-wheelers.
David and Verna relocated to Whitehall, Montana in 1998 looking for a quieter lifestyle. In Whitehall, they found a loving church family and enjoyed many years of fellowship with some of God's best.
Sunday, February 26, 2023, after Church and enjoying lunch with friends he fell into the loving hands of his Lord and Savior.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Uno and Frances Soderberg, and his first wife Darlene. He is survived by his loving wife of forty years, Verna, daughters Debbi Soderberg, Denise Soderberg (Todd Ische), Deanne Nehring, and granddaughter Sarah Nehring. Sarah, a 2022 graduate of Boise State University, held a very special place in David's heart.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 11th at 11 AM, at K & L Funeral Home in Whitehall, Montana. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity in David's name.
