Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana
Bringing a child into the world is also hoped to be a beautiful, healthy experience, counting the tiny fingers and toes and enjoying baby snuggles. However, sometimes this beautiful experience becomes a heart-wrenching test of strength, both for the baby and the parents. Unfortunately, this is exactly what Liam, Samara, and baby Doran are currently going through.
Due to Samara’s previous health issues, the couple and their doctors believed the chances of conceiving were very slim. However, on September 2, 2022, the couple found out they were expecting; just a few short months later, at the 24-week ultrasound, life-threatening pregnancy complications were discovered. On February 7, 2023, Samara delivered their 1.1 lb daughter in Missoula.
The baby will need to spend the foreseeable future in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Both mother and daughter have had extensive medical issues since the delivery; the family and their friends ask for your support at their fundraiser this Saturday, March 4 at the Whitehall Community Center.
A spaghetti dinner will be served, beginning at 4 PM at $10 per plate. A silent auction with a large variety of offerings will also be held, along with a live band from 4 to 6 PM. Bingo will also be held at $20 per card or three cards for $50.
If you are unable to attend but would like to support the Doran family and their journey, donations are accepted via Rocky Mountain Bank: Doran Family Fund or you can utilize their VENMO account linked to RMB: https://venmo.com/u/doranfamilyfund.
