One unforeseen aspect of becoming a parent is that suddenly you are open to a whole new genre of nightmares that involve losing your kid.

You’ll never see your own ears attached to your head. You may see a picture or a reflection of them, but you’ll never see your actual ears.

In our lifespan, we don’t even get to meet 1% of the human population.

Dogs don’t wipe, and then we let them go sit on our couch.

Perhaps we prefer soft yellow lit lamps over ceiling lights because they more closely resemble the campfires our ancestors found comfort in.

Popcorn is distinctly recognizable by all five senses.

Insects use outside bones to protect inside meat. While humans use outside meat to protect inside bones which protect inside meat.

People who know a lot don’t talk about the things they know. People who don’t know a lot constantly talk about the things they think they know.

The word ‘Crisps’ has a questionable number of syllables.

Snow White was killed by the evil Queen and then reanimated by a magical kiss. That makes Snow White a zombie.

The brain is an organ that can complain about itself.

The word ‘Divisibility’ has more ‘I’s than Mississippi.

A good climbing rope lasts 3 years, a bad climbing rope lasts your entire life.

Meatloaf is a burger cake with ketchup icing.

The fact that truth is stranger than fiction speaks well of fiction.

Money can’t buy you happiness; but is a resource that can expand the boundaries of our comfort zones. The wealthy have much larger relative comfort zones than the poor.

We aren’t IN traffic, we ARE traffic.

Adoption is the ‘skip intro’ button for parenting.

Garbage cans are difficult to throw away.

The things our bodies do automatically are often smarter than what we choose to do.

We’re farther away from the 60s, than the 60s to the 1800s.

No one on earth speaks sign language.

Everyone thinks they’re smarter than the next guy yet we’re all the next guy to the next guy.
