Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana

Between the Stacks: 2/8/2023

Our last Alzheimer’s /Dementia class will be this Wednesday, February 8th, at 10 AM.

Julie will be discussing the financial aspects of having a loved one with Alzheimer’s or Dementia and where to get assistance and the many financial costs of both conditions. She has left a wealth of information at the Library, and we would be glad to share it with everyone.

The Friends will be meeting at 5 PM on Thursday, February 9th at the Library. If you would like to join in the fun and support the Library at the same time, please feel free to just come and meet everyone. The Friends do multiple things in and for the Library, so no special skill set is needed.

Military Strong is a program that reaches out to families of those who have been deployed. The Library will be hosting two sets of programs, the first on Thursday, February 9th at 5:30 PM for those who work with children who have parents who have been deployed, or families with children whose parents have been deployed. Then, on Thursday, February 16th at 2 PM, there will be a general session on Military Strong. Both programs are free and open to the public.

Our Rockhound Group will meet on February 13th at 5:30 PM. They have so much fun participating in Show & Tell with one another so bring your collection and learn more about it.

Mystery Book Club and Lit to Flic meet on Tuesday, February 14th at 5 PM and 6 PM respectively. Lit to Flic members just started Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen so it is not too late to come and enjoy a little classic literature.

The Library will be closed on February 20th for President’s Day but we will be open regular schedule for the rest of the week.

If you see me hobbling around town, please don't worry. I tore my meniscus in the left knee, so am walking a little slower and have to keep it up. The staff and volunteers are treating me like royalty at work so I should heal in the next couple of weeks. It is giving me a chance to catch up on my to-read stack proving once again there is always a silver lining to everything. February calendars are available at the front desk.
