This is going to be a busy week at the Library with lots of programs going on for every age group.

Wednesday, January 18th at 9 AM the Holocaust Project teens will be meeting to work on this year’s Survivor/Rescuer Fair, to be held in April. Last year we had a great crowd in spite of all the snow and everyone complimented the participants on their tables.

Wednesday is also the first Alzheimer’s/Dementia education class at 10 AM. This one-hour class will be discussing “Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia, following three more sessions on the next three Wednesdays. The programs are free and open to the public.

Deanna Mydland will be here on Friday, January 20th during our multiple story times to help celebrate Chinese New Year. She will bring her assorted amazing projects and crafts for our youngest readers. Storytimes are at 9:30 AM, 10:30 AM, and 1 PM for preschoolers and their friends.

If you have signed up for the Advanced Care Preparation classes on Monday, January 23, and Monday, January 30, at 6 PM, don’t forget to download and fill out the paperwork in preparation for class. If you would like to come there is still room and flyers are available with the information on the forms needed for class.

STEM Camp is meeting this Friday after Storytime at 2:30 PM. Miss Brandi and her junior mad scientists are once again going to take a look at the world through science. And speaking of science, we are enjoying looking at dinosaur bones this month. Stop by the front desk to learn more about these amazing creatures!

The Rockhound Group is meeting on January 23 at 5:30 PM. They are discussing meeting twice a month as everyone is having so much fun sharing their collections. Anyone is welcome to come and learn about rocks they have discovered, learn where to search for different types of rocks, and meet fellow rock enthusiasts. The group is planning field trips when the weather improves so come join the fun.

Homeschool Roundup will meet on January 24 at 1 PM. This Tuesday group meets every other week and enjoys crafts, programs, and networking with other homeschool families. There is also a large collection of homeschool curricula in the front entryway which is free to anyone who can use it.

Speaking of books, the Friends book sale is filling up as the Library staff is weeding the collection. Books are 20 cents for hardbacks and 10 cents for paperbacks. All proceeds go to the Friends who then provide funding for Library programs, furnishing, computers, and more.

Calendars are on the front desk and if you have any questions about programs, hours, or anything else just call the Library at 287-3763.
