Loren Allen Shaw, Jr., 80

On December 28th, 2022, Loren Allen Shaw Jr. passed away at the age of 80 with his wife, daughter, and granddaughter by his side.

Allen, as he was known to family and friends, was born December 2nd, 1942 in Jefferson Island, Montana to Cena and Loren Shaw Sr. Allen died from complications as a result of Covid. He spent most of the last decade with dementia, spending his time in Arizona with family. Allen retired in 2012 after spending many years in the agricultural feed industry throughout the state of Montana.

Allen loved sports (especially baseball), football, and basketball and especially when it was Arizona State, the Phoenix Suns, or the Arizona Cardinals playing. In his younger years, he loved golfing with his wife JoAnn and all of their trips taken to different courses.

Allen was proceeded in death by his parents; his wife's parents Joyce and Sal Shisker; and his siblings Bobby (Goose) and Shelly Shaw. Allen is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, JoAnn Shaw; his daughter Heidi Lee; his granddaughter Alison Lee; brother-in-law Michael Shisker; several of his siblings including Garland and Linda Shaw, Sherry and Larry Messinger, Dennis and Jean Shaw, Chuck and Pam Kerr, Sandy and Bob Yakawich; as well as countless nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Allen will be greatly missed by his family and friends. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his name to the ASU Foundation.
