Ledger: Who makes the Christmas presents?

Kash: Santa!

L: Does he make them in his garage?

K: Well...well...I don't know what it's called...but the elves help him.

L: Oh! What does an elf look like?

K: No...no...no...maybe it's not the elves (eyes wandering)

L: Do you know what Santa's favorite food is?

K: Cookies!

L: What kind of cookie does he like?

K: He likes...he likes... (shrugs) I think he likes all of them?

L: How much does Santa weigh?

K: One hundred pounds!

L: Is that a lot!

K: That's a lot lot!

L: What would you like for Christmas this year?

K: I already have a lot of toys. I have all the toys. Maybe I should get a new water bottle this year?

L: What color?

K: It should be red with yellow dinosaurs!

L: What's your favorite dinosaur?

K: An allosaurus!

HAYDEN

Ledger: (noticing he's wearing a Grinch shirt) Who is on your shirt?

Hayden: The Grinch!

L: What's the Grinch look like?

H: He...well (tries to turn his shirt upside down while wearing it)...um...

L: No! Don't look! Can you do it from memory?

H: Well...no...yes? I think he looks like Santa!

L: What does an elf look like?

H: I'm gonna have to...hmmmmm....I'm gonna have to remember what he looks like and tell you another time.

L: What do you want for Christmas this year?

H: A tiny Polar Express train.

L: Is Santa driving the train?

H: No! The conductor drives the train!

L: How tiny is the train?

H: It's like....(holds his fingers about two inches apart) it's like...well...maybe it should be bigger.

L: Does Santa use the Polar Express to deliver presents?

H: No, he uses his reindeers!

THOMAS

Ledger: What does Santa Claus look like?

Thomas: (spreads his hands out big and wide)

L: What else?

T: He is white and he has reindeer.

L: What's a reindeer look like?

T: They are special deer and they are brown. And the one hurt his nose.

L: Do you know any of their names?

T: Ummmm.....no....

L: Do you have a favorite Christmas song?

T: Ummmmmm....no....

L: What do you want for Christmas this year?

T: A gun! A gun...a gun...a gun!!!

L: A real gun or a fake gun?

T: (rolls his eyes) A fake one!

L: Do you want a rifle or a pistol or a....

T: A rifle! So I can go hunting!

L: You aren't going to hunt the reindeer, are you?

T: (thinks about it for a second) Ummmmm....no?

ANDREA

Ledger: What does an elf look like?

Andrea: (staring at the ceiling) Uh.....I......I don't know!

L: Do you know what a reindeer look like?

A: (staring straight ahead) Uh....I.... (giggles) I don't know!

L: That's ok! How about Santa?

A: (laughs really loud) Oh! Ho! Ho! Ho!

L: Exactly! What would you like for Christmas this year?

A: I don't know yet.

L: No ideas yet? Not a dolly or a teddy bear?

A: No...but it has to be pink!

BELL

Ledger: What is your favorite Christmas cookie?

Bell: Mmmmmm...the elf cookie!

L: What does the elf cookie look like?

B: He's got a mask on!

L: Do you know what Santa looks like?

B: Boots! And a wet face! And red!

L: What do you want for Christmas this year?

B: My mommy and daddy.

SAWYER

Ledger: How does Santa Claus get all the presents to your house?

Sawyer: (jumps up from the floor where he was sitting) He goes down the chimney!

L: Is there a fire in the chimney when he comes down?

S: No...there was...but there's not when he comes down the chimney. (sits back down)

L: Does he drive all the toys to your house in his car?

S: (jumps back up) No! He brings them in his sleigh with the reindeers.

L: What does a reindeer look like?

S: Brown

L: Do you know any reindeer names?

S: (sits back down) No....

L: Is Santa very old?

S: He looks really old. (jumps up) and he's really short!

L: How much do you think he weighs?

S: (sits back down) Ummmm....mmmmmm...hmmmmm...I....don't...know.

L: What would you like for Christmas this year?

S: Ummmmmm...I don't know yet. I think I just want a bunch of stuff.

EASTON

Ledger: What does Santa Claus look like?

Easton: Yes...he....he...well...he has a lot of old age.

L: How old do you think he is?

E: Hmmmmmm..old.

L: How big is he?

E: Bigger than my mom and dad!

L: Who helps Santa at Christmas?

E: The elves...but they aren't old. And they aren't big.

L: What would you like for Christmas this year?

E: A boat! With a thing hooked to it!

L: A real boat?

E: Well, my family gots a boat and I want one too!
