Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana
Don't forget the presentation on teen homelessness by Diane Nilan and Pat LaMarche on September 21st at 6 PM. They are nationally known speakers and filmmakers who are dedicated to educating the public about this increasing problem.
On September 27th at 11:30 AM the Library is hosting an Alzheimer's Community Forum Luncheon for the public. This program will give people who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's, caregivers, family members, and friends a chance to find out information on financial help, treatment options, medical information, caregiver helps and resources, and more. There will be presenters from multiple agencies with information for everyone. If you are planning to attend, please call the Library at 1-406-287-3763 so that we have enough food for everyone. If you are a caregiver and need to bring a family member, please feel free to do so. The presentation is planned for the basement but if we need to move it upstairs to accommodate mobility issues, that is not a problem.
The League of Women Voters will be at the Library on Tuesday, September 20th and 27th from 5:30 PM to 7 PM helping anyone who is not registered to vote in Jefferson County to fill out their paperwork or just pick it up and fill it out at home.
History Book Club will be meeting on Monday, September 26th at 6 PM. We are discussing books on the Russian Revolution, both personal remembrances and overall historical accounts. If you would like to join us, please come. We will be picking the subjects for the next several meetings.
Stitch'n More had a great class on needle felting last week and looks forward to another great class on needle working. Anyone is welcome and all supplies are provided by the Library.
The Holocaust Project begins this year on September 29th at 6:30 PM. It is open to teens 12-20 and will start out with a pizza party provided by the Richmonds. If you are interested in joining this year, please come and see what it is all about. Last year's participants will be flying to Los Angeles to tour the LA Holocaust Museum, attend a birthday party for a 99-year-old survivor, and meet the staff of the museum. If you are interested in joining the book discussion group, please feel free to attend.
Mommy and Me will meet at 10 AM on Thursday as usual. This is a great way to meet other young mothers and spend some time talking about different subjects while the children learn about a variety of concepts. This week we are focusing on colors.
If you have any questions about the Library programs or anything else, please call us at 1-406-287-3763 or just stop by the front desk.
