Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana
Dear Jo,
I was just daydreaming and thinking a lot today. I was thinking about how crazy it is that a person has walked on the moon and on Mars.
Do you think a person will ever walk on the sun? I know it’s really hot but I am thinking if they went in the wintertime when the sun is only like 30 degrees they could probably do it.
What do you think?
Sunny Daydreamin’
Dear Sunny,
Hmmmmmmm...maybe we need to revisit our basic knowledge of science and the universe. While life on Earth would not exist without our huge hot glowing ball of gas, life on the Sun, even a short visit, isn’t possible (at least not right now).
The temperature of the sun varies from around 27 million degrees Fahrenheit at the core to only about 10,000 degrees F at the surface, according to NASA. Right now, humans do not have the equipment possible to withstand that kind of heat to walk the way we did on the moon.
Hope that helps!
Signed, Jo
Dear Jo,
I am a 35-year-old man. My wife (37) has a strange habit of urinating in the tea she serves guests at our home. She says it gives her a kick.
Though at first I was shocked, I have started enjoying it as well. In fact, I do the same when making tea for guests. I have heard that drinking urine is not harmful. Is it safe to continue doing this?
Secretly Seasoning
Dear Seasoning,
This habit is unfair to your guests, who I am sure would not get a kick out of what you are inflicting upon them. Please do not invite me over, ever! I wish I had your real name to warn others! Yes, urine therapy is practiced, but it is done with the patient’s consent. It should not be used as “seasoning!”
Signed, Jo
