Dear Jo,

It is hot, hot, hot! I have sweat in places I cannot mention. I never thought I would say this, but I am thinking of trying those new deodorant products for private areas. I actually saw one that is called “Lionbutter!” What?! I keep seeing the commercials (which I have laughed at, by the way). Have you tried these products? Do you know if they work?

Sweaty and Hating It

Dear Sweaty,

No, I have not tried those particular products. I think their sales must be skyrocketing though. I have made use of every fan in Jefferson county, burned out two air conditioners, and am sleeping with several ice packs. I think we should give it a whirl!

Dear Jo,

I have an important interview this week. The problem is, the only thing I want to wear in this heat is NOTHING! What outfit will possibly work when I start sweating the minute I step out the door and it does not seem to stop until I get home, collapsing into my air-conditioned room?! Is there a store that sells clothes that breathe as if you are naked? I have tried cotton, linen, anything. Nothing is working. I need to look fresh and with it at this interview. Help!

Hot in a Bad Way

Dear Hot,

It seems everyone is feeling the same! Keep this in mind: if you are hot and are trying to stay fresh for the interview, the person you are going to see is most likely feeling the same.

Can’t you just picture them sitting behind their desk with a fan duct-taped underneath? Keep that picture in mind when you go, and good luck.
