Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana
Some people do things simply out of the goodness of their hearts, not wanting anything in return. Several of these wonderful people came into my life last week.
The crew of Expedition Church (the vendor booth giving out the free fans with filters, for those of you wondering whom I'm talking about!) brought over a dozen volunteers to the Whitehall community, just to help in any way they could with Frontier Days.
Not only did they help check in vendors, sponsor the rodeo, play music on the Main Street Green, set up sound systems, keep everyone hydrated with free waters, and cook all the food (and put everything away after) for the Whitehall Chamber's BBQ; they helped ME keep my sanity. I knew that if I needed anything, I could find one of them and ask.
This group, for the past several years, has traveled to Whitehall from Livingston and worked to make Whitehall better. With nothing asked in return. In years passed they have redone the horseshoe pits, fixed the wooden grates on the park gazebo, and done work at the Whitehall Community Pool.
Why? Because they have a calling to Whitehall. And boy, am I ever thankful for them and that calling, especially after this weekend. I hadn't met this group before this month, but had heard of their good deeds in Whitehall; now they can add rockstars of Frontier Days to their list as well.
Thank you. Expedition Church. You are so very appreciated by me. I can never thank you enough.
