Cousin Cleavon's Redneck Cooking: Him a Layin' Rabbit

I can hear the questions right now, "what is Himalayan Rabbit?"

Well, it`s not a rabbit imported from the high mountains of Tibet, or even one covered in the $80-per-gram salt my wife said would improve the taste (but did nothing for me). It is him a layin` on the road rabbit.

I found that the best rabbit I have ever had is one that has been run over many times with a car. It helps to tenderize the meat to the point it just falls off the bone, but too many semis over-tenderize them. The best Himalayan rabbit is locally sourced in Whitehall, or even Butte if you`re desperate. Please remember to be careful when picking up your rabbit and look both ways.

INGREDIENTS

1 Him a layin' on the road rabbit

Slow cooker

2 cups BBQ sauce

Salt and pepper

½ cup red wine

5 Potatoes

½ tablespoon of Oil

Beer to drink as your wife makes dinner.

P.S. Himalayan salt is just salt, don't buy the expensive stuff, it tastes the same. If you do use Himalayan salt, please check the expiration date it normally goes bad after 200 million and 2 years.

DIRECTIONS:

Felid strip the rabbit and give the pelt to your dog. Dogs love to play with fur.

Save the bones and dry them to make a cool wind chime.

Then wash and put the rabbit in slow cooker.

Add BBQ sauce, red wine, salt and pepper. Then let it cook for 10 hours on medium. This is medium heat, not a spiritual medium, the rabbit might come back to life.

After the meat is cooked. Slice up the potatoes and pan fry them with salt and pepper as a side dish.

Plate on the fancy china because this is a classy dish.
