Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana
Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park is kicking off its interpretive program season over Memorial Day weekend.
The birds and the bees have returned to the park, and AmeriCorps member Taryn Eveland will present a program titled “The Birds & The Bees” on Friday, May 27, at 8 p.m. at the campground amphitheater. In this talk you will discover how these animals face and overcome the challenges of building a home in the wildly diverse landscapes of the park.
On Saturday, May 28, at 8 p.m. at the campground amphitheater, park ranger Ramona Radonich will present “This is Montana!” This program will acquaint visitors with several of the state symbols Montanans have chosen that proudly represent this state we call home.
On Monday, May 30, at 9 a.m., starting at the Main Visitor Center, Caverns staff will host an orienteering program. Park ranger Radonich will teach you how to use a compass then set you out on a course to see if you can find your way home again. Compasses will be provided.
Other interpretive programs have been scheduled at the Caverns. For a list of programs happening in June, visit go.usa.gov/xuzT8.
