Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana

Why Do I Want to Be Jefferson County Commissioner?

I love being your Mayor. Over the past eight-plus years, I have learned a lot about how to successfully run a municipality. After serving on the Planning Board, Parks/Trees/Cemetery Board, TIF Board, Jefferson Valley Community Foundation, and as the Director from Jefferson County on the Big Sky Passenger Rail Authority I feel I have the experience to be successful as your next Jefferson County Commissioner.

I have a good working relationship with the County Commissioners. I am a fifth-generation Montanan growing up on my grandparent's cattle ranch in Milligan Canyon. I graduated from WHS class of '72 and Carroll College class of '77.

I know Jefferson County and I'm looking forward to meeting more of the people who call Jefferson County home.

My mother Joyce Janacaro was elected the first woman County Commissioner in 1986. She loved her job and was very good at it. I'm sure she is smiling down from heaven as I follow in her footsteps.

I want to thank Leonard Wortman for his many years as Commissioner. You can retire knowing you've done a good job for us and we appreciate you.

I am running for County Commissioner because there is a serious lack of lipstick in the Commissioner's office; let's change that!

I promise to work for you to the best of my ability for the next six years. I would appreciate your vote.
