Last Chance for Black Tie and Blue Jeans This Weekend

Black Tie and Blue Jeans is here! Whitehall's premier social and most enjoyable event is here, this Saturday, May 21. The eighteenth annual event, a joint event of the Whitehall Chamber and the Jefferson Valley Community Foundation will be held at the Copper K Barn with doors opening at 5:30 PM. This year's theme is Red, White, and Blue: Wear your Boots, Get Back to Your Roots! Following a social time to visit with friends and neighbors, a delicious grilled ribeye dinner will begin at 7:00 PM. The live auction will begin at 8:15 PM, which is when the Silent Auction will conclude. There will be music following the auctions for listening, dancing, and visiting pleasure.

Always an exciting part of the event, the live auction will again have a number of extremely attractive items for active bidders. Among these items is a five-day four-night stay in a condo at Deer Valley, Utah, an overnight stay and dinner for two in an iconic cottage at the Sacajawea Hotel, one of last year's most attractive items the red, white, and blue mailbox, and a red, white, and blue corn hole set. Also available is a fire engine ride for the first day of school for some excited students and a two-hour trail ride for folks who would like to see our beautiful country and leave stress behind.

Also available are the ever-popular bucket raffle, the luck of the draw for a Henry Golden Boy .22 rifle, a raffle for the gigantic liquor basket, and certainly, of course, the silent auction. Several BTBJ veteran workers believe this silent auction contains some of the very best selection of items ever.

There are still a few tickets available for the event, they can be purchased by stopping at the Whitehall Chamber office at 501 North Whitehall Street from 11:00 AM-4:00 PM. The Chamber can also be reached by calling 406-287-2260. As a reminder, there will be a bar for refreshments and socializing; patrons will be asked to not bring their own liquid refreshments. A couple of quick notes for that evening, the theme was specifically chosen, and specifically planned, to make the event less formal and more reflective of our community. Please come and have a wonderful time while supporting the Whitehall Chamber and the Jefferson Community Foundation and Chamber events and community non-profits
