Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana

Jason Edsall, 37

Jason Edsall gained his wings in the comfort of his home surrounded by the loves of his life on January 19, 2022, after a hard fight against cancer and autoimmune disease.

Jason was born on June 6, 1984, to Cliff and Nancy Edsall in Billings, Montana. He was the youngest of three wonderful children. Jason lived in Billings for a short time before the family moved to Whitehall, Montana where he attended elementary through high school, graduating in 2003.

As a young boy, he followed in his daddy's footsteps in his working with vehicles or anything involving a motor. Jason was quite the daredevil and loved competing in motocross competitions across the state of Montana. He also played football for the Trojans and discovered his love for basketball. Jason competed and traveled to as many basketball camps as he could throughout Montana and surrounding states.

During the summers, as a kid, Jason would travel with his brother, Brian, and his sister, Dani, to Arizona with their grandparents. The family was extremely close and enjoyed their time together.

After high school, Jason moved to Colorado for a college education specializing in the autotech field. He earned his degree and worked in underground drilling before moving back to Whitehall. He worked for 16 years as the lead auto tech at his father's business, Cliff's Automotive. Jason worked to make sure his customers were safe in their vehicles and made friends with every person he met. He was extremely generous to anyone who knew him and would give anything he could to help others.

Jason married the love of his life, Amber (Murphy) Edsall, on November 11, 2011. Together, they brought into the world three beautiful daughters: Jaylynn Rae (13), Ashlinn McKennly (10), and Kymberlin Jo (7). Jason was an exceedingly caring and loving father. His girls meant the world to him, and they all looked up to him. They follow in his footsteps with a love of basketball, working on cars, and getting firewood. They were all very close. Jason was a caring father and a loving husband. Those girls now have a very proud guardian angel.

Jason is survived by his loving wife, Amber Edsall, and his beautiful daughters Jaylynn, Ashlinn, and Kymberlin of Whitehall, Montana. Also, his parents, Cliff and Nancy Edsall of Whitehall; sister Dani Crane of Dillon, Montana in addition to four nieces and two nephews, Kylee Sampson, Sami Sampson, Kylie Crane, Breeonna Sampson, Tayler Sampson, and Trevyn Crane; brother, Brian Edsall and sister-in-law Cassie as well as nephew Deakon Edsall, of Whitehall; and grandparents Kenneth and Darlene Edsall of Whitehall.
