Jefferson Valley Community Foundation Grant Cycle Open

Jefferson Valley Community Foundation’s annual Fall Grant Cycle is now open for applications. Applications can be made for a JVCF Grant and/or the $2500 Barrick-GSM Grant.

The Jefferson Valley Community Foundation (JVCF), 501(c)(3) charitable organization was founded in 2001. The purpose of this organization is to provide a permanent, grass roots funding source for community projects in the Whitehall School District area. The endowment was created with only $5,070.50. With the generous yearly giving from individuals and from Golden Sunlight Mining, our endowment has grown to $335,180.00. We have been able to offer grants totaling over $191,000.00. The list of projects and organizations receiving grants over the past 20 years is long. Our community continues to thrive and is a great place to live because of each of these organizations. JVCF is grateful to be able to assist these organizations and help facilitate the projects benefiting our community.

JVCF is continuing with the Short & Sweet event for the presentation of grants on Thursday November 4, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. at the Whitehall Community Center. We invite all non-profit organizations to join us at this celebration.

The special Mystery Grant will be awarded to at least one nonprofit group represented who did not receive a grant. Applicants must be present to win the Mystery Grant. So be sure to attend; you may well be the Mystery Winner. Last year, we were able to present 3 Mystery Grants at $1,000.00 each!

Applications were mailed to the non-profit organizations operating within Whitehall High School District on August 30, 2021. If your organization did not receive a packet, please pick one up at the library or call Amy French at 406-533-5218 to receive one. Applications are due October 1, 2021. JVCF looks forward to receiving the applications and awarding the grants to help our non-profit community continue their good work of making our place called home a better place to live.
