Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana
Yowzers! Was that a Frontier Days or what? I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many people in Whitehall! The restaurants were booming, the vendors were busy, the kids were out in full force and I saw a smile on most everyone’s face. It was a great weekend and I saw the community really come together to make it all happen.
My only regret is that I don’t have two or three (or twelve) clones of myself so that I could be everywhere I wanted to be. It just wasn’t possible. And because of this I wasn’t able to get all of the moments captured that I had hoped to. However, the community has been amazing at sending me photos they took over the weekend! You’ll see pics from all perspectives in this paper, which I think is really great.
I would love more photos from anyone who wants to share - they are helpful when putting together the Frontier Days special sections and in promoting the town via the Whitehall Chamber of Commerce and other avenues.
Speaking of the Chamber, please remember that Frontier Days is brought to you by the Chamber - which is a volunteer run organization. These volunteers put countless hours in before, during, and after this weekend’s events. They were the ones making the phone calls to organize the rodeo, the vendors, the activities; they were the ones putting out little fires behind the scenes during the event so everything ran smoothly; and they were the ones cleaning up Sunday morning making sure the town looked great again. Please give them a round of applause! Be part of the fun by volunteering for next year’s event!
