Public Meeting & Comment Period: Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the Golden Sunlight Mine

DEQ is hosting a public meeting and taking public comment regarding the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for a proposed mine tailings project at the Golden Sunlight Mine located near Whitehall, Mont. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. in person at the Borden Building (103 W Legion Ave) in Whitehall as well as hosted virtually on Zoom (accessible both online and by telephone). DEQ will make reasonable accommodations for those with disabilities who wish to participate in the meeting. DEQ is accepting public comments from June 15, 2021 until close of business on July 15, 2021.
